Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tampa-Oldsmar, an IHG Hotel

I thought the establishment was great ! Hands down. The everything was fantastic with exception to 2 things...I would improve if it were my hotel. 1) the carpets in the room should probably be sanitized and steam cleaned on a regular basis as needed... I tried walking barefooted in my room and just felt gross by my feet sticking to the carpet , and ended up keeping a moist towel next to the bed to wipe my feet on before bed activities.. 2) The pool experience was kinda small for that size hotel...but thankfully we were the only ones when we went swimming. Twas okay until I looked into the waters of the pool while swimming against the darkness colored backdrop of my swimsuit I was amazed at the. Amounts of particles and smaller debris floating throughout the pools entirety. Kind of grossed out about the possibilities of what those particles included I got out of the pool. I would suggest better pool maintenance and pump filter cleaning and exchanges on a regular basis...and probably more chemicals treatment to keep the water sanitary. Other than that I was happy with the hotel and room and breakfast as a whole... The price was a little on the higher side of others surrounding establishments but I appreciated that factor because it kept the lower quality of people away...so there was an honest balance for quality purposes. The staff were friendly and respectfully polite....💪🙏 Awesomely great and superb people working there. All of the other amenities and bathrooms and dining areas were clean and quiet. Great Atmosphere!

Hotel is superb! Done up since I stayed there last year, didnt actually realise until we were leaving there is a small pool but very clean hotel, pillows superb, and the new gym excellent but could do with a cable machine and a little less cardio but all and all, great stay, breakfast does what it needs to and staff friendly and obliging.

This hotel has been undergoing new renovations for several months, as I understand it. When we arrived to check-in, they were in the middle of installing a new lobby check-in desk, which looks very nice and in line with the other decor that has been installed so far. Nice colors of blue and white. One dining room is still under remodeling, however, the breakfast bar was excellent and we were able to sit in an adjoining dining area. I was pleased with the ample food choices available for the breakfast. It was more than a standard, meager continental breakfast! You could make your own pancakes, and their were fresh and hot egg & cheese folded omelets, French toast sticks, plenty of fresh fruit options, drink choices including coffee and various juices, and much more! Since breakfast was included in our reservation, I was happy to see that it was not a meager offering that had been hobbled up by other guests by the time we made it down to eat. Excellent and very soft NEW bed mattresses and pillows made the stay so much more relaxing. The last hotel we stayed in somewhere else had firm bedding, so this was an extra touch that I MUCH appreciated after a tiresome trip to Clearwater in heavy traffic.

Location was next to a bar which got a bit noisy outside the night I arrived. Room was nice, glad it had a microwave and fridge. Room was clean and large. Breakfast was better than I expected. All the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful.

The hotel was very clean. I didn’t have any major issues. Smelled fresh also. The breakfast was okay overall. Everyone that worked there that we walked past, always spoke with a smile. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. The beds are so comfortable.
